A one-time photo ID and selfie check through Stripe. Passing it puts a Verified seller mark on your listings.

Stripe checks a photo of your driver's license, passport or state ID against a selfie. We never see or keep your ID; we only get told whether it passed. Retries after a failed check are free.

Questions
Can I get a refund?
Promotions start the moment payment goes through, so we don't normally refund them. If something went wrong on our end, like your listing being taken down by mistake while it was featured, email [email protected] and we'll make it right.
How does the Featured row work?
Category and search pages have a Featured row above the regular results. Paid Featured listings always come first. When more listings are featured than the row has room for, they rotate randomly on each page load, so every featured listing gets a fair share. Featured listings also keep their normal place in the newest-first results, with a gold Featured tag.
Why are some Featured listings free?
Some featured weeks are free. While the launch offer runs, a founding member's first listing, or the first listing of someone who joined through an invite, gets 7 days in the Featured row for free, in any category that can be featured. Free ones only fill the row after every paid Featured listing has its turn, so paying always puts you ahead of them.
How does the homepage spotlight work?
The Spotlight row on the homepage has 4 spots. When more spotlights are running than that, they take turns: a random 4 show each time the page loads, so every one gets a fair share. A spotlight also includes everything in Featured.
Why can't I promote a firearms listing?
Payment processors don't allow us to take payments for weapon listings, so the Firearms category stays free and in plain newest-first order for everyone. Free Stuff and Community posts can't be promoted either. They're free to post and don't need it.
Does promoting change when my listing expires?
A bump doesn't. Featured and homepage spotlight do if they need to: if your listing would expire before the paid week is over, we keep it up until the week ends.
What is the Verified seller badge?
A one-time photo ID and selfie check run by Stripe, for $2.99 (free on the business plan). Pass it and a Verified seller mark shows on your listings and seller page, and buyers who search for verified sellers only will find you. We never see or keep your ID: Stripe only tells us whether the check passed. If it doesn't pass, you can try again at no extra charge.
How do I cancel the business plan?
Go to Billing in your account and cancel there. It won't renew and nothing more is charged. Your listings stay up; if you have more active listings than a free account allows, they stay until they expire, but you can't post new ones until you're under the limit.
